Kohima: The Zeliangrong Baudi (N) issued a firm declaration regarding its youth leadership. ZYON stands as the only authorized and recognized youth organization in Nagaland. The group has held this official mandate since 2019. It handles all civic duties and structural responsibilities for the community under the direct orders of the Baudi.
Leadership reaffirmed this status during an executive meeting on June 24, 2021. Representatives from the Nagaland Zeliangrong People’s Organisation and various frontal units attended that gathering. The group backed this position again during the Baudi Nagaland Dimki proceedings on September 4, 2026. This session took place at Gaili village.
The ZYFN faces an official ban. The Baudi Nagaland Dimki has reprobated and proscribed the rival front entirely. This prohibition holds steady until a formal merger occurs. According to the organization, the ban lasts "until an official amalgamation between ZYON and ZYFN is fully realised."
