Yemishe Village Council Denounces Violent Attack

Kohima: The Yemishe Village Council has issued a strong condemnation following the attempted murder of Kithoholi Aye, a resident of Yemishe village. The attack, which reportedly occurred on May 18, involved the use of a machete.

The victim's husband, Toshika Awomi of Surumi village, is identified as the accused in the case. He is currently a resident living near the DEE office in Zunheboto.

Council chairman H. Vikato Yepthomi described the violence as barbaric and inhumane. He stated that the act violates the core values of the community and cannot be tolerated. The council is now calling on local law enforcement agencies to handle the case with urgency. They are demanding a thorough investigation and strict legal action to ensure justice is served for the victim.
