Wokha Youth Groups Ban Two People for Drug Trafficking

Kohima: The Lotha Youth Hoho slapped a five-year ban on two people caught peddling drugs in Wokha. Nzanthung and Zuthunglo were apprehended during a joint sting operation. The Lotha Youth Hoho worked alongside the Tsumang Youth Organisation and the Blue Hill Youth Organisation to catch the pair. They were allegedly caught selling sunflower drugs.

Leaders met with the accused on June 22 to review the case. The group gave the two individuals a direct order to pack their bags and leave the district immediately. The ban covers the entire Wokha area. This move is part of a wider effort to scrub drug abuse from the region.

The youth body keeps fighting. They praised local groups for helping with the operation. "Collective community action remains vital in achieving a drug-free society," the organization stated. They want citizens to keep tipping them off about any peddling they see in their neighborhoods.
