Kohima: A week-long Nationwide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign was officially inaugurated in Wokha on May 18. Running through May 25, the initiative operates under the themes of PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA, aiming to achieve complete saturation of government welfare schemes for tribal communities and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).

During a coordination meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner conference hall, Deputy Commissioner K Mhathung Tsanglao emphasized that the core objective of the campaign is to guarantee that no eligible beneficiary is overlooked. The program, themed Jan Bhagidari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle, focuses on grassroots outreach, beneficiary identification, and service delivery across the district.

To ensure effective implementation, ADC Renbomo Ezung has directed line departments to activate both district and village-level teams. These teams are tasked with executing a comprehensive district action plan that includes door-to-door awareness drives, health screenings, public hearings, and grievance redressal sessions. Additionally, the campaign will facilitate on-the-spot registrations, livelihood promotion, and infrastructure inspections.
