Agartala: West Tripura district generated 28.63 lakh man-days of employment during the 2025 to 2026 fiscal year. While this fell short of the 37.66 lakh target, the program successfully mobilized workers across nine block areas to complete 238 distinct development projects.

Infrastructure improvements included the construction of 103 cement concrete roads, 63 brick-soled roads, and 30 box culverts. Workers also completed several community facilities, such as three Common Service Centres, seven compound walls, two rural markets, and four buildings for Self Help Group federations. Other completed works involved one embankment, one cremation ghat, nine Anganwadi centre renovations, and various drainage and sanitation improvements.

Beyond general infrastructure, the district utilized the workforce to support the Chief Minister's Rubber Mission. This initiative successfully established rubber plantations across 917.10 hectares of land. Officials noted that the scheme remains a vital tool for sustaining rural employment while bolstering essential public assets across the region.
