Kohima: The Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) recently joined forces with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to host a series of business governance workshops. Held between May 8 and May 16, these sessions reached women entrepreneurs in the districts of Meluri, Tseminyu, Wokha, and Zunheboto as part of a broader, ongoing initiative to bolster entrepreneurial capacity across the state.

The workshops focused on the essential aspects of business management, specifically targeting the need for proper documentation and compliance. Participants received practical guidance on navigating the requirements for trade licensing, FSSAI certification, and Udyam registration. Beyond regulatory processes, the curriculum covered financial literacy, skill development, and an overview of various government schemes designed to support business expansion.

Organizers noted that the primary goal of these sessions was to demystify complex regulatory frameworks, providing women with the necessary tools to formalize and grow their businesses. The events were marked by strong engagement and enthusiasm from participants, highlighting the increasing prominence and potential of women-led enterprises within the region.
