Vandals Target Shillong Pastor's Vehicle for Second Time

Shillong: Unidentified attackers smashed the car belonging to Rev. Macdonald Pyngrope on Wednesday. The pastor lives at the Mission Compound in Shillong. Vandals shattered the rear window and tore apart the interior looking for items or documents. The total cost of the damage remains unclear.

This hit marks the second time in two months. The first attack happened May 24 near Lawmali Pyllun. Someone smashed the right rear door of the vehicle after a cottage gathering. These recurring strikes follow the pastor's public inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of church funds.

Authorities are taking the situation seriously. East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said, "investigations are under way to ascertain the motive and whether the two attacks are connected." While the pastor has not yet filed a fresh complaint, police continue to track down the people responsible for the destruction.
