Imphal: The United Naga Council held an emergency presidential meeting on Saturday at its headquarters in Senapati to address recent security concerns. The six-hour session drew 28 participants, including representatives from the All Naga Students' Association, Manipur, the Naga People's Movement for Human Rights, and the Naga Women's Union.
During the meeting, members unanimously condemned a recent mob attack on the council office. The organization also dismissed as baseless various allegations against UNC President Ng. Lorho that have circulated on social media platforms.
The council emphasized that its operations rely on collective decision-making rather than individual authority. The house stated that "attempts to target individual leaders for collective decisions are unjustified and contrary to the organization's traditions." Leaders concluded the session by reaffirming their full confidence in Ng. Lorho and his current administration.
