Agartala: Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia lands in Tripura on July 9. He heads to Agartala for the Tripura Business Conclave 2026. The one-day visit centers on the International Fair Grounds in Hapania. Scindia appears as the chief guest to talk to industry leaders and local entrepreneurs.
State officials want fresh cash. They hope to boost trade and link local industries to global markets. The event builds on the momentum from the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025. That Delhi event brought nearly Rs 23,867 crore in project proposals to Tripura. Many of these deals are already moving ahead.
"The Tripura Business Conclave 2026 is intended to accelerate the execution of those investment proposals while attracting fresh investments to support industrial growth and create employment opportunities in the state."
Scindia will detail the central government's plan for the region. He will focus on better logistics and connectivity. The government views these sectors as key to unlocking economic growth. This trip reinforces a wider push to improve infrastructure and tourism across the Northeast.
