Agartala: Unakoti District Magistrate Megha Jain and Superintendent of Police Sudhambika R carried out a joint inspection of the international border to evaluate security and management protocols. The officials visited several Border Outposts and inspected the condition of barbed-wire fencing in vulnerable sections of the district.

During the visit, the delegation engaged with local residents to discuss security concerns, specifically addressing issues regarding potential infiltration and smuggling activities. This feedback helped inform the administrative review of existing border strategies.

Tripura Police confirmed that the district administration is taking new steps to enhance surveillance across the region. Authorities have increased regular patrols and are enforcing stricter monitoring of suspicious movements in sensitive areas. These measures aim to secure the international border while maintaining stability for those living in nearby communities.
