Imphal: A fire destroyed two trucks parked at the Kathikho Karong garbage dumping site in Manipur's Senapati district on Wednesday evening. The blaze occurred around 7:20 PM along National Highway-2, gutting both a container truck and a six-wheeler.
The vehicles arrived from Imphal at approximately 2:30 PM and were empty when the fire started. Responding to the emergency, the Senapati fire brigade arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.
The whereabouts of the two drivers remain unknown. Officials noted that one of the drivers is a resident of Assam, while the trucks are owned by an individual from the Imphal Valley. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as authorities stated, "further details are awaited as authorities continue their inquiry into the incident."
