Agartala: Tripura will conduct the NEET-UG examination on June 21 across 10 designated centers. Officials confirmed that nine centers are located in West Tripura district, with one additional site in Dhalai district. Approximately 4,700 candidates are expected to participate, with 4,500 coming from West Tripura and 200 from Dhalai.
Authorities have implemented a two-tier security system at all testing locations to ensure the exam proceeds without disruption. CCTV surveillance will monitor the centers, and West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak stated that additional security layers are in place to prevent malpractice.
Alongside exam preparations, the state government announced the admission timeline for undergraduate programs. Higher Education Director Animesh Debbarma stated that students can apply to up to four of the 29 state degree colleges, including the new Nalchar Government Women’s College, through the SAMARTH portal.
The online application window opened on May 29 and remains active until June 7. Admissions will proceed in four phases from June 19 to July 6. There are 32,159 seats available for the 2026-27 academic session.
