Agartala: The Tripura Higher Education Department has finalized preparations to host the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. Officials confirmed that coordination between the state government, the National Testing Agency, and local law enforcement is complete to ensure the process remains secure and transparent.
State Nodal Officer Raval Hemendra Kumar announced that approximately 4,700 candidates will sit for the exam across ten centers. The majority of students, roughly 4,500, are located in the West Tripura district, while 200 candidates will test in the Dhalai district. To manage the process, the government has established State and District Level Coordination Committees.
Authorities have implemented rigorous security protocols at every location. These measures include comprehensive CCTV surveillance, the installation of signal jammers, and multi-stage frisking procedures for all participants. Additionally, NTA-appointed observers and flying squads will monitor the proceedings, supported by police personnel stationed at each site.
Nodal officers have been assigned to each center to facilitate communication between the National Informatics Centre, the police, and exam administrators. Officials have urged candidates to arrive ahead of their scheduled reporting times and requested that guardians refrain from gathering near testing venues to prevent congestion. The state government remains focused on upholding the integrity of the examination process throughout the day.
