Agartala: Tripura is getting a massive tech injection. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare just signed a deal with state officials to overhaul medical diagnostics. The state will receive 48 portable AI-powered X-ray machines. They are also getting three 1.5 Tesla MRI units and three digital mammography systems.

The equipment comes via the Prime Minister's Fund. Dhalai, North Tripura, and Gomati district hospitals will host the new hardware. Officials expect the gear to speed up early disease detection and sharpen accuracy for doctors in the field.

Health Secretary Kiran Gitte and National Health Mission Director Saju Wahid oversaw the signing. The project aims to bring high-end tech to underserved areas. This move marks a major shift in how the state treats patients. The goal is to "strengthen diagnostic services and improve access to quality healthcare" throughout the region.
