Agartala: The traditional folk musical instrument known as the Sarinda has officially received a Geographical Indication tag. This recognition honors the unique craftsmanship and historical significance of the instrument, which remains deeply rooted in the artistic traditions of Tripura.

Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his pride regarding the achievement. He stated, "Tripura Sarinda receives GI Tag, CM hails proud moment in state's cultural heritage."
