Agartala: Hritwika Majumder has brought national recognition to Tripura after securing a spot among the Top 15 finalists at the Miss Grand India 2026 pageant. Held at New Delhi's Talkatora Stadium, the competition featured contestants from across the country. Majumder earned the Miss Radiant Personality subtitle, which honored her elegance, charisma, and positive spirit throughout the event.
Her journey was supported by Totell Fashion, a venture from a Northeast Indian startup community. During the national costume segment, Majumder showcased a design by Tripura artist Rohit Debbarma. This collaboration highlighted the state's local craftsmanship and artistic heritage on a major stage.
Majumder has a history of success in pageantry, having served as a state finalist in Femina Miss India 2022 where she won the Beauty with Brains title. Beyond her modeling career, she holds a degree from the National Institute of Technology Agartala and an M.Sc. in Chemistry. Her ability to balance academic rigor with creative pursuits is seen as an inspiration for young people across the Northeast region.
Co-founder of Totell, Dr. Mughavi A. Tuccu, noted that Majumder's success proves how dedication and self-belief allow individuals from the region to excel on national platforms. Her performance is being celebrated as a significant milestone for Tripura's representation in the fashion industry.
