Agartala: Tripura officials are scrambling to harden the power grid against monsoon storms. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath held an emergency review at the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited corporate office to order faster response times and reliable service. He wants zero downtime for the state this season.
District officials from West Tripura, Sepahijala, and Khowai patched into the meeting to receive their instructions. Nath made the state's expectations clear for all staff. "All employees should be ready to provide prompt services" when the rain hits and lines go down. Field teams must stay on alert with enough gear and manpower to fix breaks immediately.
The government is putting a major focus on hospitals and water treatment centers. These essential services must keep power at all costs. Nath also ordered a crackdown on prepaid meter glitches. He told staff to work with tech experts to smooth out recharge problems so customers do not suffer. Every complaint needs a fast fix. The department now expects round-the-clock operations until the storm season passes.
