Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has officially launched the Swachhata App to bolster the state's waste management efforts. During a workshop held at Agartala's Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, the Chief Minister emphasized that success in creating a sustainable environment depends heavily on public participation.
Addressing representatives from civil society and local government, Saha called for a unified approach to meet the Solid Waste Management Rules of 2026. He noted that active involvement from citizens and local leaders is essential to achieving these environmental goals.
During the event, the Chief Minister also unveiled a new Swachhata Slogan. He expressed confidence that these initiatives would lead to a cleaner state, stating that "active participation from public representatives, civil society organisations, and citizens is essential for effective waste management across the state." The workshop served to increase awareness and streamline cooperation for long-term waste disposal solutions across Tripura.
