Agartala: The Department of Industries and Commerce of the Tripura state government has initiated strategic discussions with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India. This engagement serves as a precursor to the upcoming Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, marking a significant step in the state's global investment outreach strategy.
Chaired by Kiran Gitte, the high level meeting explored opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation across several key sectors. Discussions focused on potential collaborations in tourism, information technology, agro-processing, oil and gas, bamboo industries, healthcare, and education. To formalize this relationship, the Tripura government has officially invited Russia to participate as the Partner Country for the event, which is scheduled to take place on July 9 and 10, 2026.
