Agartala: The Tripura state government has formally requested assistance from the central authorities to bolster its higher education sector. Officials are seeking additional support to improve infrastructure and resources across various universities and colleges throughout the state.
A primary focus of the request is the immediate appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor for Tripura University. The state administration emphasized that resolving the leadership vacuum at the central university remains a priority to ensure academic stability. The government stated, "Tripura seeks Centre's support for universities, colleges & appointment of TU VC" as it works to address the pressing needs of its academic institutions.
