Agartala: The Tripura government is accelerating efforts to turn Chabimura into an internationally recognized tourism hotspot. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury led a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat on Friday to discuss beautification, management, and long-term development strategies for the area. He described the site as a symbol of the state's natural heritage and expressed a strong commitment to establishing it as a destination of global significance.

The discussion included local officials and stakeholders, such as Amarpur MLA Ranjit Das and representatives from the TTAADC and local management committees. Minister Chowdhury issued directives to strengthen local infrastructure and improve the overall experience for visitors. The strategy emphasizes a coordinated approach between the state, local administration, and community groups to ensure sustainable growth.

Beyond physical improvements, the project aims to create a tourist-friendly environment that generates employment and income for local residents. Officials are currently finalizing a comprehensive roadmap to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the region while increasing promotion at both national and international levels.
