Tripura Dentist Dr. Debalina Baidya Earns Two Gold Medals in National MDS Exams

Agartala: Dr. Debalina Baidya has brought honor to Tripura by securing two gold medals at the 4th Convocation Ceremony of the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh. The ceremony recognized her top-tier performance during the 2025 Master of Dental Surgery examinations.

Dr. Baidya earned the University Gold Medal for achieving the highest aggregate marks among 231 postgraduate students in the field of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. She also received the Donor Gold Medal for scoring the highest marks in her specialty among the top five candidates. The event featured several notable guests, including Vishnu Deo Sai, Ramen Deka, and Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.

Raised in the Unakoti district of Tripura, Dr. Baidya is the daughter of retired educators Porimal Baidya and Khuku Rani Biswas. Her success has garnered widespread praise across the state, serving as a model for aspiring medical professionals.

Tripura’s SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das offered his public congratulations on social media.
