Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha issued a stern warning against internal dissent and anti-party activities during a ceremony held on Friday to welcome the new state BJP President, Abhishek Debroy. Speaking at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala, the Chief Minister declared that the party would show no leniency to any member, regardless of their position, if they engage in activities detrimental to the organization.

Dr. Saha emphasized that the BJP operates on clear ideological principles and those joining for personal benefit would be identified and held accountable. The event served as a formal reception for Debroy, who was welcomed by outgoing president Rajib Bhattacharjee, state party in-charge Dr. Rajdeep Roy, and various cabinet ministers and legislators.

During his address, the Chief Minister criticized the Communist Party, claiming their political influence has waned and their true character is now exposed. He alleged that opposition forces are funding creators to spread propaganda against the BJP to damage its reputation. Despite these challenges, Dr. Saha expressed confidence in the party's future, stating that the BJP would continue to grow and eventually capture the remaining legislative seats held by the CPI(M).
