Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha met with representatives from local Panchayat institutions to celebrate their success in securing three National Panchayat Awards. The Chief Minister praised these bodies for their dedication to grassroots governance, noting that the national recognition highlights the state's progress in public participation and women's empowerment.
Three specific institutions earned top honors this year. The Sepahijala Zilla Parishad was named the Best District Panchayat in the country. The Kanchanbari Panchayat received the award for Best Healthy Panchayat, while the Baikunthapur Panchayat secured the position of Joint Third Best Women-Friendly Panchayat.
Saha stated the achievement marks an important milestone in the state's journey towards realizing the vision of "Ek Tripura, Shrestha Tripura, Viksit Tripura" and showcases the impact of development-oriented initiatives undertaken at the grassroots level. The Chief Minister added that these accomplishments serve as a point of pride for the entire state.
