Agartala: Tripura Panchayat Minister Ratan Lal Nath threw his weight behind a push for more cash. The state wants a bigger slice of the pie from the 16th Finance Commission. This extra funding aims to strengthen the rural backbone of the state.
Nath confirmed the state is pushing for a larger grant allocation. He believes the move will jumpstart stalled projects. "Tripura welcomes the proposal to increase financial grants for the state under the 16th Finance Commission," Nath stated. Officials expect the federal body to finalize the new funding structure soon to keep local services running.
