Agartala: Tripura is prioritizing the expansion of digital administration to streamline state operations and improve government transparency. Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha confirmed these efforts during a workshop titled Tech Enabled held at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala on May 29.
Organized by the National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the event highlighted the progress Tripura has made in its digital transformation. Sinha noted that the state currently maintains a leading position in digital infrastructure among northeastern states.
The government has already integrated e-governance systems ranging from Cabinet operations down to local Gram Panchayats. Other key implementations include e-Office platforms across state, district, and sub-divisional levels. The state has also introduced e-billing within the power sector and e-hospital services to modernize healthcare delivery.
Alok Tiwari emphasized that the Tech Enabled initiative serves as a foundation for building robust, technology-driven governance. Officials believe these ongoing digital updates will continue to save time and increase the overall efficiency of various government departments.
