Tiwa Autonomous Council Distributes Livelihood Support to Assam Residents

Guwahati: The Tiwa Autonomous Council held a distribution event on Wednesday to provide livelihood and utility support to community members. The program took place at the council premises, drawing participants from across the region who hope the resources will improve their socio-economic conditions.

Chief Executive Member Jiban Chandra Konwar led the distribution of various items, including sewing machines, bicycles, yarn, agricultural sprayers, tarpaulins, and blankets. These tools are specifically aimed at helping women, farmers, and economically vulnerable families generate income and manage daily needs.

Konwar emphasized that the council remains committed to fostering self-reliance and ensuring that government welfare reaches people at the grassroots level. Elected members from the council's 36 constituencies and local residents attended the ceremony to support the initiative, which aims to strengthen the livelihoods of those living within the council's jurisdiction.
