Three Killed in Head-on Collision Near North Guwahati

Guwahati: Three people died in a fatal head-on collision between an SUV and a truck in Assam's Kamrup district on May 28. The crash occurred at Gauripur, located near North Guwahati.

Police reported that the truck was traveling on the wrong side of the road when it struck the oncoming SUV. Authorities noted the SUV was moving at high speed during the crash, which left the vehicle a mangled heap of metal.

All three occupants of the SUV, identified as Parth Pratim Burman, Ranjit Dey, and Karuna Bezbarua, died at the scene. The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle and fled immediately after the impact. Police have launched an investigation to locate the driver and confirm the details surrounding the accident.
