Each juvenile must pay a fine of Rs 5,000 to the victim's parents, and officials have recommended additional compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the victim.
Beyond the financial penalties, the court ordered the three youths to complete one month of community service. Manipur Police noted that security forces are maintaining a high alert across the state to combat criminal activity. According to police reports, security personnel are conducting extensive search operations to stop extortion, stating that, "strict security measures have been implemented at all vulnerable locations, and security convoys are being provided along sensitive stretches to ensure the free and safe movement of vehicles."
To bolster regional security, authorities have established 115 checkpoints throughout both hill and valley districts. These measures aim to protect critical logistics, including the movement of 579 supply vehicles currently traveling along the Imphal-Silchar National Highway 37.
