Thieves Target Assam School in Latest Ledo Break-in

Guwahati: Thieves hit Udayan Jatiyo Vidyalaya in Ledo on Wednesday night. They pried open doors and windows to reach the school. Inside, the group made off with five ceiling fans and various electrical lights. The facility is located in the Margherita Legislative Assembly constituency.

The vandals left a mess behind. They slashed electrical wires, smashed switches, and tossed fan blades across the floor. Teachers reported that the destruction disrupted daily school operations. It follows a similar raid at Sankardev High School just one week ago.

While police caught suspects in that previous case, this new crime has residents on edge. Locals want action now. They have urged the Margherita Police and the Margherita Co-District administration to tighten security and run more night patrols. Authorities are currently investigating the break-in. Officials stated, "efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved."
