Thieves Target Assam School in Latest Crime Spree

Guwahati: Thieves hit the Ledo Sankardev ME School overnight. They broke through the doors and tore the place apart. The criminals forced open two steel almirahs and left the office in ruins.

The haul was significant. The culprits snatched six ceiling fans, two gas cylinders, a motor, two tablets, and two batteries. They also made off with sensitive school documents, according to reports. School authorities noted the perpetrators "damaged multiple items inside the institution before fleeing the scene."

This hit follows a string of burglaries across the Margherita co-district. Residents are fed up. Local temples and monasteries are also feeling the heat as crime rates spike. Ledo Police arrived at the school to start their investigation. They are hunting for the suspects and the missing gear. The investigation remains open.
