Television and Cine Foundation Marks Two Decades in Manipur

Imphal: The Television and Cine Foundation celebrated two decades of work on Tuesday. The event took place at Waring Chingra, Nongdam. Guests included notable figures from the state's art, culture, and media sectors.

TCF spent twenty years building the local film industry. They host screenings and talk with directors. The group runs incubators for new talent and sets up project pitches. Documentaries remain a core focus for the team. They give cash to members during medical crises and hand out awards for industry contributions.

Attendees held a moment of silence for those lost. They mourned veteran filmmaker Oken Amakcham. They also remembered Film Forum Manipur Chairman Kh. Kuleshwar Singh. Both men passed away recently.

Speakers touted the group as a hub for creative growth. The foundation provides space for collaboration and talent development. One speaker stated, "TCF has become an important platform for creative exchange, collaboration and talent development in Manipur."

The day ended with a pledge. TCF promised to keep pushing Manipuri cinema forward. They aim to inspire every new generation of storytellers.
