Kohima: Team Metamorphosis celebrated its 21st Foundation Day on October 2 at New Wokha Village. The group honored eight individuals who earned national awards for their work in youth development, education, peace advocacy, journalism, public service, and community leadership. The honorees include Dr. Thungchibemo Lotha, Amos Odyuo, Mharhomo V. Murry, M. Wanchio Odyuo, Achanbeni M. Lotha, Oreno, Dr. N. Yanpothung Ezung, and Abenthung Kikon.
Chief Dr. Thungdemo Kyong led the event. He chaired the program while Dr. Thungchibemo Lotha delivered the vote of thanks. The session began with an invocation from Pastor Chiben Humtsoe of Wokha Village Baptist Church, followed by a special musical performance from Lumka Ngullie.
Rev. Khonbemo P. Kikon, former executive secretary of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association, praised the group for its long history of sacrifice. He highlighted Dr. Kyong's personal dedication to service, noting that the leader has donated blood 33 times to save lives. "The organisation's efforts and achievements have been recognised by people in Wokha district and across Nagaland," Rev. Kikon stated.
The group eyes its silver jubilee next. Attendees included family members and well-wishers who stayed until the final closing prayer. Supporters hope the organization earns more recognition on the national and international stage as it continues its mission.
