Guwahati: Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Testing is doubling down on its fight against tuberculosis. The company now supports 250 patients in Jagiroad under the Nikshay Mitra initiative. This move bolsters the national TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan drive started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The company previously provided nutritional and social aid to 150 individuals during the program's first phase. Now, they are scaling up. The extra support helps patients meet basic needs while they recover from the disease.

Officials stated that expanding the program "strengthened its contribution to public health and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the national mission of building a TB-Mukt Bharat." This work directly aids the government goal to wipe out tuberculosis across the country.
