Support Wings Hosts Youth Outreach Program at Shillong Orphanage

Shillong: Ten young volunteers from the group Support Wings visited an orphanage in Langkyrding, Shillong, on August 22. They spent the afternoon running a program dubbed Little Smiles. The event mixed fun with learning. It gave the kids a chance to build confidence.

Volunteers held workshops on essential life skills. They taught children about their basic rights and core values like self-awareness. Then, the group moved into drawing and dancing to spark creativity. The work is part of a larger plan by Support Wings to help underserved areas in the Northeast.

Organisers claimed the event offered a vital outlet for local youth. According to the group, the program provided "a platform for the children to express themselves and build confidence through meaningful interaction."
