Kohima: The All Nagaland Sumi Aphuyemi Senior Citizen Forum gathered at URA Restaurant in Kohima on July 17. They managed the transition of power for the Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho. ANSASCF president Zutovi G. Swu chaired the meeting.
Senior forum members pushed the new leadership to stay united. They want the team to protect the rights of the Sumi Aphuyemi. They also urged the group to build strong ties with civil societies and government agencies to help the people of Pughoboto. The forum thanked the outgoing team for working hard during past conflicts.
Rev. Dr. Kiyeto G. Sema, senior pastor of SABCK, offered blessings for both the incoming and outgoing officials. He drew inspiration from scripture, specifically 1 Corinthians 14:7-8, during his address. He told the assembly, "the new SAH team comprises 16 members headed by Ghuzui Shohe as president."
The leadership slate includes three specific advisors. The current MLA of 13th A/C Pughoboto holds one seat. A former SAH president and retired Law and Justice secretary K. Nihoto Chishi also serve as advisors.
