Agartala: Frustrated parents and students gathered at a school in Dharmanagar, Tripura, today to demand immediate action against a growing teacher shortage. They blocked the school gates, refusing to let classes proceed until officials addressed their concerns. The protest brought daily operations to a complete standstill.

The demonstrators claim the lack of staff has left pupils without proper instruction for too long. Local reports indicate that parents are fed up with empty promises. The situation reached a breaking point as participants demanded a fix for the vacancy issue. One protester stated, "Gate closure and Teacher shortage spark protest at Dharmanagar School."

Authorities have yet to provide a timeline for hiring new staff. Families now wait to see if the state will act. The gates remain the focal point of a community desperate for better education resources.
