State Officials Meet in Shillong to Boost Disability Education Support

Shillong: The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India joins forces with Samagra Shiksha on Friday. They will hold a state review meeting at the Shillong Club. Things kick off at 10 am. The agenda focuses on building better support systems for children living with disabilities.

Richa Kulkarni, Director of School Education and Literacy and State Project Director of SEMAM, will lead the event. She serves as the chief guest. Officials want to tighten up inclusive education mechanisms. They also aim to expand access to assistive devices and rehabilitation throughout Meghalaya.

District officers, special educators, and inclusive education coordinators will fill the room. The group will work on a specific mission. According to the official statement, the session aims to "strengthen inclusive education mechanisms and improve access to assistive devices and rehabilitation support across Meghalaya." Attendees will also map out plans to boost the skills of special educators and fix gaps in district-level coordination.
