Agartala: The Tripura Human Rights Commission is stepping in. It ordered an independent inquiry today following the death of a pregnant woman at IGM Hospital.

Officials flagged possible medical negligence as the primary cause for the investigation. The commission aims to determine if hospital staff failed to provide necessary care.

Authorities confirmed the move after reviewing early reports on the incident. "THRC flags possible negligence; Orders Independent inquiry into pregnant woman's death at IGM Hospital," the commission stated in its formal order.

Investigators will now review patient records and talk to the staff on duty. Families wait for answers. Accountability remains the goal as the probe moves forward.
