St Joseph’s College Honors Graduates at 36th Ceremony

Kohima: St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, held its 36th Graduation Day on October 10 inside the College Indoor Stadium. Graduates, faculty, and guests gathered to celebrate. The event began with an invocation by Dr Sr Laly Varghese, followed by a welcome song from the campus hostellers.

Principal Dr Fr George Keduolhou Angami led the proceedings. He congratulated the students and welcomed special guest B. Henok Buchem, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima. Angami stated, "Graduation is a recognition of perseverance, commitment and hard work, as well as the fulfilment of aspirations."

The Konyak Cultural Troupe performed a folk dance while Mehiwa Magh sang Sing Me Back Home. Rev Fr Felix Monteiro, SJ, provided blessings, and Heshou Dihe Mao delivered a message to the class. Vice Principal Dr Sr K. Katini handled the awards presentation for top students.

Valedictorian Kétüzo Dawhuo of the Economics Department spoke on his time at the school. B. Henok Buchem later took the stage to address the crowd. He urged the graduates to see their degrees as the start of a new chapter filled with responsibility. Hosts Meiling Shükshühü and Kepozo Kapuh managed the program, and Kethoneino Vimero finished the day with a formal vote of thanks as certificates were handed out.
