Shillong: St. Edmund’s School and the parents involved in a recent high-profile admission dispute have reached an amicable resolution. Deepali Patel and Pushpendra Patel issued a joint statement on Saturday expressing their gratitude toward the school administration for their cooperation.

The couple offered a formal apology for the inconvenience and potential damage to the school’s reputation caused by the controversy. The parents clarified that the disagreement stemmed from a series of circumstances that resulted in a misunderstanding regarding their son’s enrollment.

According to the statement, the recent events arose from "circumstances that led to a misunderstanding and an avoidable dispute concerning the admission of their son." Both sides now consider the matter closed.
