Guwahati: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) presented a cache of computers and electronic devices to a Fast Track Court on Monday, June 22. These items form a core component of the evidence cited in the formal chargesheet concerning the death of Assam music icon Zubeen Garg.

Investigators gathered these materials throughout their inquiry, including a collection of photographs and videos documenting events in Singapore. Sources close to the case state that these files provide crucial context regarding the final stages of the events under scrutiny. Some of this visual evidence had not previously appeared in the public domain.

Beyond the raw footage, the seized hardware contains extensive data that supports the files attached to the chargesheet. One source noted that the team "gathered crucial information regarding the final phase of the events under investigation through analysis of the digital records."

As the legal proceedings continue, primary suspect Shyamkanu Mahanta is seeking further intervention from the judiciary. After the Gauhati High Court rejected his initial bail request, Mahanta appealed to the Supreme Court. The apex court is scheduled to hear his bail plea on Tuesday.
