Sikkim Tourism Minister Inspects Labdang Eco City Project Progress

Gangtok: Sikkim Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Tshering T. Bhutia, visited the Labdang Eco City Centre Development Project in the Gyalshing district on Tuesday to assess construction progress. As the area MLA, Bhutia met with local residents, stakeholders, and Gram Panchayat representatives to discuss the impact of the initiative.

During the inspection, Bhutia emphasized that the facility must be built to strict quality standards. He noted that the project is designed to bolster rural infrastructure, foster tourism, and generate new livelihood opportunities for the local population.

The Minister instructed the executing agencies and relevant officials to prioritize workmanship while keeping the project on schedule. According to government officials, construction is nearing completion and the site is expected to open soon, serving as a significant development milestone for the Labdang region.
