Gangtok: Sikkim Manipal University needs new staff. The Central Referral Hospital is hiring Endoscopy Technicians for 2026. This role demands specific skills and medical training.
Candidates must hold a 10+2 degree, preferably in science. You also need a diploma in Endoscopy, Operation Theatre, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an approved school. The university prefers applicants with SGEI-WEO certification and Basic Life Support training.
You need one year of experience in a GI endoscopy unit. This includes working with ERCP and EUS support, handling endoscope reprocessing, and managing medical accessories. The position involves preparing patients and equipment for procedures, cleaning high-level gear, and keeping accurate procedure logs.
Staff must follow strict rules. "Ensuring compliance with infection control, biomedical waste management, patient safety, and hospital protocols" remains a core duty. You will assist gastroenterologists during diagnostic and therapeutic sessions like colonoscopies.
