Shillong: Shillong police have launched a public appeal to help locate two women who went missing in separate incidents. The authorities are asking anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to contact local stations immediately.

Prethyna Ch. Momin, 22, was reported missing on June 9, 2026. She stands 5 feet tall and has a muscular build, brown eyes, a broad forehead, and long black hair. She is fluent in Hindi and Garo. When she was last seen, she wore a blue T-shirt and black pants. In a separate case, 42-year-old Bobby Dorjee has been missing since May 2, 2026. She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall with a round face and black-and-grey hair. She is soft-spoken and communicates in Nepali and Hindi. She was wearing a green churidar, a golden sweater, and black sandals when she disappeared. The police stated, "Members of the public with information regarding her whereabouts are requested to contact the Police Control Room at 6009196479, the Officer In-Charge of Laban PS at 9362855502, or the Missing Desk (Crime Branch) at 8837282114."
