Shillong admirers to honor Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

Shillong: Admirers of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose plan to gather at the State Central Library in Shillong this Friday at 10 am to pay tribute to the historical figure. The event serves as a commemorative lead-up to the centenary of his inaugural visit to the city.

Records show that Bose first arrived in Shillong on June 12, 1927, where he resided at Kelsall Lodge in Oakland. The organizers have invited all local supporters to attend the programme, stating, "organisers have requested all admirers of Netaji to join the tribute programme."
