Kohima: A six-day intensive training program for the 2027 national census began on June 8 at the Shamator District Headquarters. The initiative aims to provide 165 participants, consisting of 25 supervisors and 140 enumerators, with the essential skills required for the upcoming data collection process.
Deputy Commissioner of Shamator, Arikumba, opened the sessions by stressing the value of high-quality information for the region. He stated, "The census forms the bedrock for future developmental planning and policy making."
The program is scheduled to run through June 13. According to a report from the DIPR, officials are focused on ensuring that all enumerators and supervisors are fully prepared to handle the requirements of the national count.
