Seven-Hour Power Outage Set for Sanis and Bhandari

Kohima: Power will go dark in Sanis and Bhandari on July 6. The Kohima Transmission Division scheduled the seven-hour blackout to clear vegetation and maintain two vital 132kV transmission lines. Crews expect a long day of work.

The outage hits the 132kV Doyang-Sanis and 132kV Sanis-Wokha lines. Power remains off from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The Executive Engineer for the Kohima Transmission Division stated, "the shutdown was unavoidable for smooth execution of the activity."

Maintenance teams aim to fix existing issues to prevent future failures. Officials want to ensure a stable grid for the region. Residents must deal with the temporary loss of electricity while workers clear the lines.
