Imphal: A senior leader of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party, Haobijam Dilip Singh, was arrested in Delhi following a joint operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell, the Manipur Police, and central intelligence agencies. Authorities took Singh into custody while he was in the capital to attend a secret meeting.

Singh is currently facing more than 12 criminal cases filed under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and other related laws. His arrest provided security forces with critical information that led to a follow-up operation in the Kakching district of Manipur.

During the raid, security forces recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and various logistical supplies. Among the items seized were bags, a tarpaulin sheet, and a mobile phone, all of which are believed to be connected to militant activity in the region. Officials described the capture as a major success in their efforts to dismantle insurgent networks operating within Manipur and the surrounding areas. Authorities are now continuing their investigation to identify other members and uncover further links to the organization.
