Agartala: Workers opened 17 donation boxes at the Tripura Sundari Temple this week. Security was heavy throughout the process. Local officials oversaw the counting of offerings left by pilgrims at the historic site.

Crowds often visit the temple to drop cash and valuables into these containers. Now, the tally begins. The authorities ensure every cent is recorded before moving the money to official accounts.
